Jason Ezra Cohen, MD
Anesthesiology & Interventional Pain Management
Dr. Jason Cohen is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist with a distinguished academic and clinical background. A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Cohen began his academic journey at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, where he developed a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and research.
Following medical school, Dr. Cohen completed two years of rigorous surgical training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx and Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He then pursued a residency in anesthesiology and critical care at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, one of the nation’s leading programs. To further specialize his expertise, Dr. Cohen completed fellowship training in pain management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he focused on advanced interventional techniques for the treatment of acute and chronic pain.
Dr. Cohen has maintained a strong interest in academic medicine and research throughout his training and professional career. His scholarly work has centered on spine care and pain management, with contributions including peer-reviewed journal publications, textbook chapters, and presentations at national medical conferences. His current clinical interests encompass interventional pain management, neuromodulation, and peripheral nerve stimulation, with a patient-centered approach that emphasizes restoring function and improving quality of life.
He is dual board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. In addition to English, Dr. Cohen speaks Spanish and Farsi.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Cohen leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys long-distance running, playing basketball, and spending meaningful time with his wife and children. His personal and professional life is guided by a commitment to compassion, excellence, and ongoing learning.
